Jungle vibes in the heart of Düsseldorf? An oasis in industrial style – softened by lush, natural accents: the Working Café for the employees of the agency TASKOM. The new kitchenette evokes the feel of a modern hotel bar in a tropical resort – above the guests’ heads, a wild jungle garden climbs up to a height of three meters.
PASCH is responsible for the design concept, planning, and creative supervision of the implementation. By completely reimagining the existing layout of the communal kitchen, open zones for various uses were created. The large, separate conference room was also adapted to match the Working Café’s design concept.

COFFEE OR ESPRESSO MARTINI, ANYONE?
The portafilter machine serves as the centerpiece of the new kitchen bar. When designing the Working Café, it was important to create a blend between a stylish bar, a cozy café, and a break room. This hybrid piece of furniture embodies all of that in one.
DAY & NIGHT
The kitchen bar is both a meeting point and a place to retreat. By day, it is part of the Working Café; by night, it becomes a stage for socializing and connection. A space that lets the day end in style. Cheers to that!
BAR & KITCHEN
The bar & kitchen rises as an urban tropical retreat within the industrial loft – a communal kitchen that feels like a hotel bar in the jungle. Above, a lush jungle garden climbs up to three meters, turning the bar into a stage for creative breaks and social interactions.
The bar establishes itself as a communicative hub – equipped with two generous beverage coolers, a well-stocked selection, and a kitchen counter with workbench-style bar stools. A space designed to encourage exchange, seamlessly bridging the atmosphere between work and after-work.
The kitchen is thoughtfully functional while aesthetically minimal: five microwaves are discreetly integrated beneath the countertop, preserving a clean look. Complemented by a high-quality portafilter coffee machine, a Quooker for hot and filtered drinking water, and ample storage space.
Whether as a meeting spot or for lunch, the heart of the Working Café is a versatile space that adapts flexibly to every need.
MEET & DINE
Whether for a creative meeting or an informal lunch, the central space transforms effortlessly. The open, versatile area combines functional clarity with relaxed elegance, adapting flexibly to different uses.
The back of the wooden cube serves as both a room divider and storage. Integrated is a Samsung The Frame TV, which functions as a meeting display or a piece of art, redefining the space depending on the occasion. For larger groups, the area provides ample room for meetings – an open, collaborative approach to working together.
A ceiling track lighting system highlights the area with modern pendant lights, enhancing the warm and inviting atmosphere.
The freestanding wooden cube serves as a think tank, defining the bistro area while providing a space for focused work.
CAFÉ & WORK
Straddling the line between urban bistro and green oasis, this area invites guests to settle at the round tables with their laptops and work in focus.
At the back of the wooden cube lies an open think tank – a quiet space for concentrated work or relaxed, impromptu meetings. The café area evokes a modern bistro: a built-in bench doubles as a planter for lush tropical vegetation, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
A custom-designed tropical forest graffiti echoes the wall colors and draws the viewer visually into the depth of the space. The result is a multi-dimensional illusion that gives the area an urban yet natural look.
A symmetrical steel-and-glass portal marks the entrance.
Outside, palms lean against the patterned glass, evoking the feel of a greenhouse.
CONFERENCE
The separate conference room seamlessly continues the design language of the Working Café, carrying over its inviting atmosphere. Large, real plants bring a tropical feel to the space and create a natural freshness.
The custom-made TV unit with conference equipment mirrors the same wood finish as the Working Café, ensuring design continuity. Additionally, acoustic curtains not only enhance the room’s sound quality but also add a soft, elegant touch to the setting.
